Our Team
Helping golfers of all levels build confidence, consistency, and achieve better results.
- Rory Doll -
My approach to coaching is built on simplicity, clarity, and results. I believe that every golfer can improve with the right guidance and a focus on fundamentals. Rather than overwhelming plaers with complex mechanics, I focus on clear feels and repeatable movements that translate directly to the course.
Coaching Standard
Rory has a passion for golf, but more importantly a passion for helping people. In building his academy Rory has continued to pursue his goal of helping each person he works with to improve their skills and identify strategies to overcome challenges. Rory’s junior programs are run with the foundation of developing foundational life skills through the game of golf. As the academy continues to grow Rory is focused on helping each and every one of his students to perform their best, both in golf and life. The academy also helps juniors with financial assistance, providing over $10,000 in training, tournament entry fees, and equipment costs to families yearly.
Competitive Experience
Rory grew up in Nipomo and competed for Nipomo High School, earning two MVP awards. After a successful collegiate career at NWU earning All-American Honors, 2014 Mid-American Player of the Year, and setting 7 school records, Rory started pursuing golf professionally. During these years Rory qualified for the sectional round of the U.S. Open in 2014 & 2016. In his time playing he earned a professional win, as well as many top 10s. While competing Rory started his own golf academy and began teaching adults and juniors, where he found his true passion.
Player Development
Rory has had the opportunity to work with many different skill levels including top amateur players in the world. Regardless of the level of player, Rory seeks to deliver the most effective and clear path to improvement. Rory specialized in biomechanics and looks to identify the most effective body movements for each player. Rory believes in a well rounded approach to improvement. Through goal setting, effective technical skills, purposeful practice, and effective strategies, he helps players of all levels enjoy the game of golf.
Proven Results
While being a young coach in the game Rory has already found much success with his students. RDGA currently has over 10 college players competing at some of the top ranked schools in the country. Locally Rory has players competing at over 16 high school programs, and is looking forward to helping those players achieve their dream of playing collegiately
- Reilly McMahon -
As an instructor, my goal is to cater to each student’s unique learning style through clear communication, demonstration, and the use of video software. Golf is already a complicated game, so I take pride in simplifying it while still creating meaningful changes in a player’s swing. My attention to detail and ability to identify the root cause of issues, rather than just treating the symptoms, allow students to transition smoothly from the range to the course.
Competitive Experience
Reilly grew up in Santa Maria and began golfing at the age of seven. He played four years of varsity golf at Righetti High School and capped off his high school career with a 2nd-place finish at the 2012 CIF Southern Section Championship and a 6th-place finish at the 2012 California High School State Championship. He later attended UCLA on a golf scholarship, where he continued to develop his game and prepare for a professional career. A year after turning professional in 2017, he qualified for the 2018 U.S. Open sectional round. He ultimately decided to step away from competitive golf to focus on teaching and sharing the knowledge he gained from his coaches with his students.
Player Development
Being introduced to golf instruction at the age of seven helped Reilly build a strong foundation in golf mechanics. While at UCLA, he had access to elite instructors in full swing, short game, strategy, and mental performance, all of whom have coached PGA Tour players. He used this high-level instruction to improve his own game and now applies that knowledge to guide his students. Reilly evaluates each player’s abilities and develops a tailored plan to help them reach their goals, whether it’s breaking 100, earning a spot on a high school or college team, or pursuing golf at the highest level.

My approach to coaching is built on simplicity, clarity, and results. I believe that every golfer can improve with the right guidance and a focus on fundamentals. Rather than overwhelming players with complex mechanics, I focus on clear feels and repeatable movements that translate directly to the course.
Competitive Experience
Starting a bit later than most, I found my true passion for golf in high school. My entire childhood was rooted in competitive soccer, but I quickly discovered that golf offered an entirely different, and incredibly rewarding, kind of mental and physical challenge. Growing up locally in San Luis Obispo, I played in every junior tournament I could find, which ultimately led me to securing a spot on the CSUMB Women’s Golf Team just up the coast in Monterey. Competing there for five years (including navigating two seasons disrupted by the pandemic) solidified my love for the game and made me realize I want a career in the golf industry.
Player Development
Now back on the Central Coast, I’m excited to bring the same competitive drive to the academy, helping players of all levels find their own passion for the game and take their skills to the next level!
